- Removal of existing secondary cabling and associated conduits.
- Repositioning of beacons according to current regulations and the new taxiway axes and edges.
- Conversion from halogen to LED lighting for all taxiway lights (centreline, edgeline, stop bars, anti-intrusion bars and intermediate holding positions).
- Replacement of all transformers and regulators in affected circuits.
- Grooving and installation of new secondary cabling following pavement works.
- Construction of new inspection chambers and manholes.
- Horizontal markings for taxiways (including centreline, edgeline and stop bars).
Project Description
Tenerife North Airport – Ciudad de La Laguna is one of the two airports on the island. In 2024 it had an influx of 6,762,702 passengers, increasing by 10.5% compared to the previous year. It is the 4th busiest airport in the Canary Islands in terms of passenger traffic, after Gran Canaria, Tenerife South and Lanzarote.
The project aimed to upgrade and rehabilitate the pavements of all taxiways at Tenerife North Airport, including those connecting to runway 12/30, the parallel taxiway, and access routes to the general aviation apron.
