Project Description
Palma de Mallorca Airport is the third busiest in the Aena network—the largest airport operator in the world. In 2024 alone, it handled 33,298,164 passengers, 73% of them international, and reached a record of 243,200 flight operations. In addition, 6,756 tonnes of cargo were transported.
To maintain the airport’s safety, quality and operational capacity, Conelsan led a comprehensive modernisation of its infrastructure, ensuring its adaptation to the growing demands of air traffic.
Between 2014 and 2017, Conelsan carried out the regeneration of the south runway pavement and the construction of two new aircraft aprons, incorporating improvements to lighting, signage and drainage systems in accordance with international standards.
