We are pleased to announce that Aena has awarded us Contract DIN-314/2024: New Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) at Josep Tarradellas Barcelona–El Prat Airport, a strategic project that we will deliver in joint venture with ACSA Obras e Infraestructuras.
This new facility will optimise wastewater management at one of southern Europe’s main airport hubs, reinforcing Aena’s environmental commitment and contributing to the sustainability of the airport ecosystem.
Why is this project significant?
- Enhanced treatment of wastewater generated by airport operations.
- Reduced environmental impact and full compliance with the most stringent regulatory requirements.
- Integration of innovative solutions and advanced technologies to improve energy efficiency, process automation and discharge quality control.
- Alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular:
- SDG 6 – Clean Water and Sanitation
- SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure
- SDG 13 – Climate Action
At CONELSAN, we are grateful for Aena’s continued trust and for the opportunity to contribute to the development of critical infrastructure that combines innovation, efficiency and sustainability.
We continue to grow alongside outstanding partners such as ACSA, sharing experience, values and a vision for the future.
